FTP/SSH - How to access your server
Server Admin Guide

Tools Required:

1. Welcome E-mail
2. FTP Client ( Flash Fxp Recommended )
3. Putty ( Linux Customers )

Logging in to your server.

1. Download Putty which is required for connections via SSH (Secure Shell). Make sure you download the version according to your operating system.

2. Once the download has finished run putty. You will see a box appear. You now need to get your welcome e-mail and fill in the ip of your server in the 'Host Name (or IP Address)' box. Then you must select the protocol SSH. This should automatically change the port to 22. Now go down to the Saved Sessions box and enter a name for this connection e.g. 'Clan Server' . Once you have done this you can now click 'Save' to save the settings in putty. Now click 'Load' to make sure the settings are loaded then 'Start'.

3. The first time you login to putty you will get a security alert asking if you want to trust our host key. To continue click yes. You should then be prompted with a black screen saying 'Login As:' Enter your FTP/SSH Username here and press enter. Allow a few seconds for a response. Putty will then prompt you for your password. This is your FTP/SSH Password. Type this in and press enter. Remember passwords and usernames are case sensitive.

4. You are now logged into your game server.

Stopping / Starting / Restarting your server.

When you first login to your server you are in your home directory. This is the same directory as you start in when you login via FTP. When you login via ftp you should see a file called 'start_gamename' (where gamename is an abbreviation of the game you are running). To see this file in putty type 'ls' (no quotes).

To start your server type './start_gamename' Your game server should now be running.

Also in the folder there should be a file called 'stop.sh' Top stop your server type ./stop.sh

Restarting your server is done that same was as starting.
